The hotel

VIK Millahue Chile is a holistic vineyard located approximately 200 km to the south of Santiago de Chile in the Valley of Millahue (a 2 hour drive from the Santiago airport). The property totals 4,325 hectares or 11000 acres comprised of multiple valleys, lakes, vines, hills, forests and majestic mountains up to 1000 meters.

At VIK Millahue, science, knowledge and the attention to every detail is the foundation, passion is our engine and our wine is the expression of our art. The holistic approach means that we aim to create synergies between the land, the climate, the water, the environment, nature, high technology, modern techniques, diversity and man to permit the dynamic terroir to reach its maximum potential. The result is vines that produce the highest quality grapes. The objective at VIK Millahue is to create a premier grand cru classe of South America and enter the pantheon of the best wines of the world.

On a higher hilltop that boasts 360-degree views, the owners are beginning the construction of Vinya VIK, a 16-suite hotel scheduled to open for guests in December 2012. Vinya VIK will be operated by VIK Retreats, managers of Estancia VIK and Playa VIK in José Ignacio, Uruguay, well known for their outstanding quality, friendly service and strong commitment to creating a unique and unforgettable experience.
