  • Reservation’s guarantee:

Although we will ask for your credit card details in advance, the cost of your stay will not be charged. You will pay the amount of your reservation upon arrival at the hotel, except for the hotels with prepayment rules and for the non refundable rates, in which case the full amount of the reservation will be charged on the credit card which will be required to complete the booking (see section Payment and prices). Your credit card will be kept safe and confidential as additional guaranteed. In the event that the credit card is invalid, VIK hotels will contact the client to ask for a new card and reserves the right to cancel the reservation if he doesn't provide a new one within the following 48 hours.
Keep hold of this booking confirmation and show it at reception upon arrival at the hotel (should you fail to present your booking confirmation at reception, the hotel will not be held liable for any booking-related errors, such as applicable rates, number of guests and/or contracted services). We will hold your booking until 18:00 on the day of arrival. If you expect to arrive later, please call the hotel to let it know. The hotel will make every possible effort to cater to the special wishes and requests of hotel guests, subject to availability and resources.

  • Payment and prices:

In case of paying the booking at the hotel, the pending amount must be paid on the currency informed on the reservation voucher. In case the customer needs a currency exchange the hotel will apply the exchange commission for the service and the currency of the moment until you check in. In the case of the Viña Vik a prepayment of 35% must be paid at the moment of the booking and the rest of the amount 30 days prior to arrival. In the Estancia Vik José Ignacio in the case of the stays during High & Middle Season (21.12 - 05.01 & 06.01 - 05.03), 50% of prepayment must be paid at the moment of the booking, rest of the amount 60 days prior to arrival. Stays during Low (01.11 – 20.12 & 06.03 - 30.04): 50% must be paid at the moment of the booking and the remaining 50% 30 days before arrival. The hotels that offer non-refundable rates will charge the total amount of the stay to the credit card provided at the time of booking. By confirming the legal conditions you agree that the amount will be charged to your credit card and no modifications or cancellations will be accepted. The non refundable rate will not always be combined with other offers, please check when booking.
The rates shown on the vikhotels.com website are for the whole stay and include direct taxes (VAT, ITBI, etc.) depending on the destination country. Possible indirect local taxes or airport taxes are not included. Prices may change without previous notice, only already made bookings are confirmed and prices are not able to change, unless bookings are wrongly produced by some error of the reservations gateway. Therefore, VIK hotels group reserves the right to act on the reservations processed.

  • Discount for Canary Islands residents:

A discount will occasionally be applied for Canary Islands residents in certain hotels. To take advantage of this discount, the client will select the type of room called “only Canarian residents” and he will show his current residence certificate upon arrival to the hotel. In case the certificate isn’t shown, the discount will not be applied and the client will have to pay the regular price of the room.

  • Check-In and Check-out:

The rooms will be available from 3pm (in the Lanzarote hotels from 4pm) and check out will be before midday. The aforementioned conditions may be changed by prior request and payment of the amount agreed. The said amount will be communicated by e-mail after the appropriate request.

  • Modifications and cancellations:

Bookings may only be cancelled by sending an e-mail to info@vikhotels.com or by calling the Call Center: Calls from Europe: 0034 902 160 630. Calls from USA, Canada, Puerto Rico: 1 809 331 6640.  Calls from Dominican Republic: 809 331 6640. Call from Central-America and South-America: 1 809 331 6640. You must provide your booking code.

No charge will be made on the credit card for bookings canceled or modified up to 2 days before arrival, minimum notice of 7 days required for the periods spanning 15.07. to 15.09. (VIK hotels in Spain), 03.01 to 31.03 (VIK hotels in the Dominican Republic), Christmas (21.12. to 02.01.) and Easter week. In case of no shows and modifications and cancellations made out of this periods, VIK Hotels Group reserves the right to charge your credit card the amount of the first night for reservations of less than 7 nights, and for longer stays 25% of the whole reservation. Also in the case of a transfer booking, a 25% supplement will be additionally applied on the service price.

Exceptions to the following VIK Hotels:

The VIK Club Coral Beach reserves the right to charge your credit card the amount of 3 nights for bookings of less than 7 days or 50% of the total cost for longer bookings in the following cases: 1. in case of cancellation within 7 nights before the arrival date (minimum notice of 14 days for the periods spanning 15.07. to 15.09., 21.12. to 02.01. and 14.04.14 to 20.04.14). 2. In case of no-show the entire stay will be charged.

In the Viña Vik in case of cancelling with a minimum notice of 30 days prior to arrival, the initial deposit of 35% will not be refunded. In case of cancelling within these 30 days, the payment made will not be refunded. In the Estancia Vik José Ignacio in case of cancelling a High & Middle Season stay (21.12. - 05.01. & 06.01 - 05.03), 50% will be charged. In case of no show or cancelling within 60 days prior to your arrival, the hotel will charge the remaining 50%. In case of cancelling a Low Season stay (01.011.14 - 20.12.14), 50% will be charged. In case of no show or cancelling within 30 days prior to arrival, the hotel will charge the remaining 50%. In the case of non-refundable rates, no refunds will be accepted

  •     Responsibility:

VIK Hotels group neither takes responsibility for nor guarantees that access to this reservations gateway will be non-stop or that it will be error free. In no case will VIK hotels group be responsible for the losses, damages or inconveniences of any type that arise from the access and use of the reservations gateway. Therefore, VIK hotels group reserves the right to act on the reservations processed.

  •  Privacy policy:

We hereby inform users that once they have registered, they will be legally entitled to access the filing system where their personal data is stored at any time, and may exercise their statutory rights to amend, withdraw and challenge their data pursuant to Organic Personal Data Protection Act 15/1999 dated 13 December (Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal). They may likewise revoke authorisation to transfer and process their personal data.
